#BookBlogtober! October TBR

Blogtober-It-Begins

Hello my fellow Bookworms!

I am so excited to be participating in #BookBlogtober1 I saw the idea on Jenniely post. Since it is my first time doing something like this I have decided to use her list for this month. Today is all about my October TBR! I must admit that my list is pretty long but I have already put a dent in it by finishing one of the books on the list just a few minutes ago! Ha! I just couldn’t put the book down once I started, I was hooked. But anyway lets get this rolling with my list.

Goodreads Group Catching Up On The Classics

So these two books come from Catching up on the Classics group on #goodreads. I have been apart of this group for a while but must admit have not participated in any of the monthly reads so far.

So for this month the book being read are Jude the Obscure, The Secret History, The Arabian Nights, and Rip Van Winkle. I am actually really excited about putting a dent in my classics TBR. I would have done Frankenstein being as it is the month of October but I just finished reading it a couple weeks ago. Rip Van Winkle will have to fit the bill though.

Goodreads Group Addicted to YA

So my next group of books come from my group Addicted to YA on #goodreads. If you haven’t noticed by now I am trying to be an active member with the book community I joined on Goodreads. I want to continue to build relationships with like minded bookster so I am participating more in the groups that I joined and reading with them each month.

This month we are reading Leah on the Offbeat, The Diviners, Furyborn, and The Darkest Part of the Forest. I have really been wanting to read The Darkest Part of the Forest so I am really glad to see that on the list to read this month. Furyborn has magic in it so that hooked me in immediately. Who doesn’t love a bit of magic?!? The Diviners seems like it is going to feed into my mood of dark mystery. I don’t know why I have been wanting to read darker books as of late so I am happy to be able to crack this open. And of course who doesn’t want to have a nice teen drama!

Goodreads Group The Perks of Being A Book Addict

Next up we have The Home for Unwanted Girls, and The Broken Girls. By the synopsis for the Home for Unwanted Girls, I may need a box of tissues next to me. I’m thinking of popcorn for The Broken Girls, LOL!

Books I Currently Already Own

I seriously need to start making a dent in the books I currently own, being both physical and ebooks, I received Aces of Shades, and The Cruel Prince as part of my #owlcrate boxes, but I was in such a funk at the time I didn’t bother opening them. I received an ebook ARC The Forgotten Child, and won a giveaway and received Reborn by Meredith Wild; so those are both obviously on my list this month. Everyone keeps praising VE Schwab’s Vicious so that is a must as well. I am throwing in The Picture of Dorian Gray for the Halloween month, and The Vampire Lestat for my re-reading of the Vampire Chronicles. Last but not least is Fiona Barton’s The Child, which by the way I just finished it today! Ha! I couldn’t put the book down, and finishing it on the first day of October boosted my confidence in making a huge dent in this TBR. Maybe I even get to read all the books on this list. Hey one can dream right.

Until next time…

Peace, Love, and Read On! ❤

Time for Another Sunday Update!

Hello my fellow Bookworms!

It is time for another update for you all! I must say this week flew by me. I feel like I accomplished very little this week, so this post will be very short. I can say that on a whim I did meet another bookworm which was awesome. We had a terrible rain storm where I live. I was on one of our towns Facebook page showing my mother in-law pictures of all the flooding that happened around us and I noticed a post of someone asking for help with Microsoft Outlook.

Something told me to answer the post seeing how no one else did. The woman worked for a local law office and was having issues retrieving emails. To make a long story short, I went to the office to help her and we got to talking and realized that she was a lover of books as myself. I got to fix her computer issue and go into a awesome discussion of some of our favorite authors and books. I also made a 100 bucks which was another great bonus!

Let’s see here: I also am really late in finding out Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles will be coming out with a TV series next year. I don’t understand how I missed the news for that seeing as I absolutely LOVE her and her books. I mean I am re-reading the entire series. I am also thinking of throwing in the Mayfair Witches series as well because come on who doesn’t love the Mayfair Witches!

I can’t wait to start #BookBlogtober! I saw the idea on @Jenniely blog page and thought it was a great way to really get my feet wet. Since I am trying something like this for the first time, I will be using her list which can be found at https://wordpress.com/read/blogs/138606539/posts/3371. I already updated my @goodreads currently reading list to include all of my October TBR. I am hoping to get most of those done this month if I don’t get too distracted with other things. My September list went down the drain. I only was able to read three books out of the whole list, which I am EXTREMELY disappointed about. But things happen and you just need to keep it moving.

Anyway that pretty much wraps up this update. Told  you it would be short. Until next time…

Peace, Love and Read On! ❤
